AAA Law Partner, European Patent Attorney Otilija Klimaitiene received a special award from Minister of Justice Ewelina Dobrowolska for contribution to human rights in the field of intellectual property protection.

Otilija says that this award is unexpected for her, but certainly gratifying. “For years, I just honestly did my job and I think that the best reward for me is this professional activity and the creative, incredibly interesting people who create inventions and innovations that I meet here every day.”

Awards initiated by the Ministry of Justice “For merits in the field of human rights – 2022” are dedicated to the commemoration of International Human Rights Day. This year, 13 representatives of institutions operating in the field of justice were awarded, who in 2022 contributed the most to protecting, strengthening, and nurturing human rights.

Otilija received the award for advising intellectual property developers on intellectual property protection issues, as well as for helping both Lithuanian and foreign creators in legalizing intellectual property rights, registering objects of industrial property, representing intellectual property owners in court, presenting at Lithuanian and foreign seminars, conducting training on European patents and trademarks.
